We are home

Jeff and I had a BLAST!!!!

I now have a new second love though....walking on a treadmill while watching cable TV. The hotel had two of the most awesome machines!!! The TV was attached to each treadmill, so I got to watch whatever home improvement show I wanted and Jeff watched whatever sports show he wanted!!! We walked for about 4 miles side by side on those things!! Since we do not have cable TV at our house, walking on the treadmill was so exciting that way!!! I so could have walked ALL day on that machine, but I was not about to waste ALL my alone time with my hubby!! Think of the weight I could lose though, if I just owned one of those things!!

The children did just fine...at least they were fine when we got home. I will not share the scary stories with you that were told to me when I walked in the front door.

YIPPEE!!!

Jeff and I are going away for the afternoon and not coming home until sometime tomorrow!!! I am SO totally excited!! I can't believe that we are going to go stay at a hotel without the children!!! Our 17th anniversary is in two weeks, so my mom has very graciously offered to pay for this special night away as her gift to us! Thank you and I love you Mom!!! This time away couldn't be better timing. Jeff's very busy season for work starts early Monday morning....so this getaway is SO needed for him and I.

If you think about it...please pray for the children's time at home. Pray for their safety and their attitudes!!! Our babysitter is real laid back, so I am not worried about the kids bothering her...my only concern is that they will bother each other!!

I have wanted to post at least a dozen times this week, but I just couldn't. I had a very hard week and I cried A LOT!!! I can't share the details, but I can say that I am OVERLY excited for a very special someone, but I am devastated for what this means for me. I am not sure that this makes any sense to you, but it sure does to me.

On a much lighter note...the kiddos and I went to a parade this morning. We had to go without our usual "parade buddies", because they were out of town, but we still had a good time. I met an older lady and she and I talked for most of the parade. I love older women....they are so sweet!!!

Next Monday is the start of Family Camps. I can't believe that they are here already. The next Monday after that will be the day that I start CHEMISTRY!!!! I am so excited to be getting back to school. My only fear about school is that it will make my summer fly by WAY too fast! The end of summer is something I NEVER look forward to, but even less so this year. You see, my life will be radically different come this fall and I am not ready for it to change.

OUCH!!!

NO ONE is allowed to come visit me ever again!! It hurts way too bad when they leave!!! My mom and I had a great time though and I am sure that I will change my mind about visitors by next week....BUT until then stay away if you plan on leaving me!!

I am so excited!!!

My mom is on a plane right now headed to Cincinnati, OH. She will be getting on another plane later tonight and it will bring her to South Bend, IN!!! The children and I will be going to pick her up around 9:00 tonight!! I am so excited. Mom and I have a ton of plans for this next week and a half. First plan....go to as many Garage Sales as humanly possible!!! We will be starting out tomorrow morning at 7:00 my time, but 4:00 her time. (She says that she is totally up to this!) I hope so!! Let the good times roll!!!
