God is doing great things!!
God is doing so many great things this week. I wish that I could sit down with each of you and tell you in person all that God is teaching me. For now I will just talk about two things. Contentment would be the word to describe this post!!
It all started this weekend when I went to a ladies retreat here at the camp. I did not have to lift a finger...I was a guest and I was able to totally enjoy the retreat. I learned so much from the teaching, but that is not what I want to share about during this post. Many of you know that my husband Jeff is one of the camp cooks. In the past, I have not felt that my husband's ministry was very important or appreciated. All that changed this weekend. Being a part of the retreat made me aware of how truly important and special Jeff's minisrty really is. All weekend the ladies just raved about the food. To be honest I actually thought about the food far too much. I was constantly looking forward to the next meal. The retreat certainly would not have been a success without the food. I came away from the retreat very thankful for the cooks and all that they do.
I have struggled for years working at a Christain camp. I have been hurt more by the people I serve with than any other people in this entire world. Ministry can be tough. I have been discontent here at this particular camp. I assumed that it would be easier at any other Christain camp. God in his great wisdom decided to bring me to my senses this weekend. I read a post by a pastor's wife and she was telling of her ministry struggles (without being specific). God showed me that Christain people everywhere hurt other Christain people. NONE OF US ARE PERFECT! I am choosing to be content here knowing that there is no perfect place this side of Heaven!!
I FEEL SO FREE YA ALL!!

I read Cindy's post and could also relate to what she was saying. My harshest critics (as I lead women's ministry) are other Christian women. You are so right, though, in your realization that no matter where we go it will come - the secret lies in our assurance of who we are in Him, not where we work, who we work for and with, not what others think...
I am so glad to hear you were blessed at your retreat! (And the food is absolutely one of the MOST important aspects of the retreat.) :)

I am so happy God has given you a new freedom! I totally understand your struggles and your hurts. That has been our experience too many times. I am still praying for God to bring complete healing to our family.
Blessings to you, my sweet friend!
P.S. Did you get the books and gift that I sent back with Karen?
