I started a TRADITION!!!

I am so excited. I finally feel like the fun mom! This is what we woke up to yesterday morning.
A foot of beautiful, fluffy snow.
My poor home schooled children have been missing out, but not any more! Their FUN mom has seen to that. They have never gotten a "snow" day off from school. Our new tradition is...a PARTY day on the day of our first huge snow fall for the season. What does party day mean? NO SCHOOL, mom goes out with the kiddos and plays in the snow, we make a cake and watch movies! We had such a wonderful time off yesterday. Here are some other pictures of our play time outside.
P.S.-The schools in our town were closed yesterday too and the ONLY reason I enjoyed this SNOW was because I did not have to drive anywhere!

Hey Ms. Judith! I saw your comment on my last blog...sorry that it took me so long to respond! I am new to this whole 'blogspot' thing! Anyway, I found your blog via facebook first and have enjoyed reading the little updates about your family! :)

You are a fun mom...I've seen your huge tub of play dough! I am happy to hear you enjoyed the snow day together. Love the photos. It is hard for us to find time to just play as a family here. Can't call a snow day but maybe a rain day...

Looks like so much fun! What a great tradition! The first snow of the season is always very exciting and special, so why not celebrate with style?! I'm waiting for our first big dump... You've had way more snow than we have so far!
