The black does show more fingerprints and food splatters, but I have found that window cleaner does wonders on cleaning it without leaving streaks. My favorite is Clorox Green Works (it smells like real lemons) - but of course you can make your own window cleaner solution too. And thanks for the link to my blog - I love sharing the freebies!Heather Hernandezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995807344587490716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8054218557988784886.post-37141071503390476472008-03-27T21:46:00.000-04:002008-03-27T21:46:00.000-04:00I second et's post. I don't have a black appliance, so no experience on that front, but in looking at the pic. of your kitchen I don't think it would be any more difficult to keep clean than what you already have. And I think it would look good.
btw- I could use a good babysitter, could you send the oldest my way? :) What's a little drive!?
God Bless, -GailGE is mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00982093884448702136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8054218557988784886.post-63474948816304632232008-03-27T21:45:00.000-04:002008-03-27T21:45:00.000-04:00I am happy to have once again a oven that works. ...I am happy to have once again a oven that works. One draw back is it never looks clean. It always has smudges of some kind on it even right after wiping it off. One of my girls even commented on it. The paint also seems to be easily scratched. Mine doesn't look new even though it is only a couple of months old.

Freecycle can be a great blessing.Thomas and Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01904605569202390479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8054218557988784886.post-62277685483148436222008-03-27T17:59:00.000-04:002008-03-27T17:59:00.000-04:00I think a black stove would look GREAT in your hou...I think a black stove would look GREAT in your house. Especially with the dark wood molding (or is it moulding?). But, alas, fingerprints are a pain on any and all things black. Though I find that my kids sure enjoy helping mommy clean off the prints (something very exciting about weilding a bottle of Windex). If the price is right, I say go for it!

Oh, but do you have freecycle in your area? Check it out on yahoo groups! It is theeee greatest thing... It's to help people recycle items (and no money is exchanged). On our local freecycle, people have posted asking for treadmills, giving away beds and applicances, people have found - usuable - vehicles! I LOOOOOVE freecycle!E.
